Good morning Preds & Friends

Happy Sunday GIF by bluesbear - Find & Share on GIPHY

Plans for the day. I'm trying to convince myself to think about cooking a few Thanksgiving dishes and putting them in the freezer.

@momtochloe

lol at least hauling through the subway systerm was pain and done in a few hours

the last pot - easy clicking online and pain and torture for the next few weeks

does anyone bake bread in a dutch oven?

there are many recipes that people have done so

but I'm skeered to put my empty dutch oven to heat up in the oven

many do so but the manufacturer's warn - do not place empty vessel to heat up

something about the enamel cracking

guess it is the same as - HOT COFEE - be careful

and it needs to be pretty hot - sigh

@Yahooey  vegetables. Green Beans. Collard Greens.

I don't like to cook but I'm actually a fairly good cook. Starting with Thanksgiving every meal I fix double the amount needed and then freeze it. From April to October I don't cook any entire meals because I'll use something that was frozen weeks/months ago. It could be meats, pasta dishes, soups, and/or veggies. It's a gift to myself that I  appreciate any time but especially in the middle of summer when I want something but don't want to spend the time or energy to fix it.

Shhhh...don't tell anyone but I even freeze corn bread.

Good morning Lovelies,

I am lovin’ that sweet kitty nurse!  Just the cutest little one.

Right now Winston is on the couch with me, all curled up, sleeping after an exhausting breakfast.  Gotta love it!

How is everyone doing?  How I admire all the great cooks here.  My Snuggery room coming along, but so much crammed in there still.  Oh well!  How much can you cram into one little room?  I can give advice.

Best wishes and love to all.

Good Morning.  Lots going on here - some good and some not so good.

My daughter was feeling better.  Then she started feeling worse.  I talked to the doctor and they wanted her to take another covid test.  She said maybe she took the first one too soon.  Waiting for results now.  Ugh

I was exhausted yesterday.  I wasn't sure if I was coming down with something or just from not sleeping well.  I feel okay today.

Thanksgiving is next week and I'm not even prepared at all.

So now we're back to isolating - all of us.  Smiley Sad

@Bri369, OH NO!  Let’s hope this is negative.  She - and you - have been through the mill already.  You have my hopes and prayers!  If she does have this virus, is there anything that she can be given to lessen her symptoms?  My DD had it early on in March, and there have been advancements since then.

Regardless, sweetie, can I recommend you order Thanksgiving dinners “take out.”  Take that off your back.  And many restaurants offer high quality meals.  My brother doing this, daughter and her husband (the original “foodies”) as well.  We are cooking a turkey breast and ordering sides for us.

We are treating our son and daughter-in-law and kids to a complete take-out meal.  They are so busy - her job, his job, GS school at home, GD on hybrid schedule.  My poor DIL is missing her mom so much.  She passed last spring, and was a fantastic cook, who cooked for days in advance of this holiday.  The holidays make things make things worse.

Macy’s having a great sale on Spode Cnristmas tree dinnerware, so I ordered 4 place settings for the family, to be delivered soon.  For $100, it will be a cheer up for all.

So I will be praying for you and your dear daughter.  Blessings to all.
