Preds and Special friends: I have composed my letter to put in a certain groups Christmas gift to suspend all gift exchanges effective January 2021. Example: Dear Jim: We love and appreciate what you have given us through the years.However, we feel that the gift giving has become very stressful and that takes away the joy and pleasure of it all. We have decided effective January 2021 to suspend all gift exchanges during the year. We hope you understand and agree with us.Let's focus on more fun and fellowship.

being together for a meal and laughing is special without all the stress of buying gifts

hoping for meals together in 2021 for just bc we need to laugh occasions

@Yahooey : Totally agree. I have the plastic sheet covers and will place the note in one and tape it on top of the gift so it will not be misplaced with the tissue and gift wrapping. One note going to each individual because I know the lady will not share this information with spouse or family members because she likes to brag about how many are in her "click or clan" and how many gifts are exchanged. I told DH we need to stick together on this especially if she continues to give us gifts and graciously accept and do nothing else.

Your note is being very polite   but getting your message to no more gift exchanges..good for you...

Son and i had a serious chat today about Thanksgiving today....his son has a job where they are wanting to protect each worker so now its required that they each wear a respirator at all times!

Plus Logan(grandson) now has to work 2 weeks of days then 2 weeks of midnight shift.

So son had his pickup truck to take me to bring Shadows remains and Urn home today  and is now resting under a 3-4 young Oak tree where he tried to pee on it   ..lol!So as tree grows he will have shade.

Son told me that he doesn't think I should have a holiday meal together  with them "yet" as they are wanting to keep me healthy...i n case Logan contacts it and brings it home to them.

We live in a small town but now there are "57" cases of the virus as of today!

Wed. all state resturants will not have diners inside until the state level drops again...younger people are now getting sick.

We went to Wally and he bought some needed groceries,and i bought a few more groc..

Then he needed his favorite Dunkin Donut ice mocha coffee and i had a regular size bottle of coke to honor our Preds!

So now i have rest of the day to do???

Shadow always wanted to try to pee on this young 4-6 foot  oak tree while walking on east side front yard...lol

As the tree grows it will give him shade.

However i asked son..if they could bring some of TK dinner to me?

It depends on their health..otherwise yes.!..

But, he is not sure what he will fix  yet him for his 2 adult sons yet.We still have to wait and see what happens between now and then.
