@PamfromCT wrote:Hello Lovelies,
Spent time today rearranging kitchen, laundry room, and piles of papers.
But, however, wherever, say what? Somebody has the nerve to create trouble for @dooBdoo ? Say what? I will pack up some stuff and join the group. And whoever, whomever caused Doo trouble...they will get told off like never before.
The nerve. Really ticks me off.
Nobody better be mean to our @dooBdoo. They will have h e double hockey sticks to pay!

@SouthernBee wrote:@dooBdoo : I understand you feelings. I prefer to choose being helpful, positive and encouraging. This has really been a stressful and difficult year. Our energy levels are very low and making it very difficult to continue. Plus we now have the change of seasons and the reality that this Thanksgiving and Christmas will be different from past years. More than ever, we need a - "Be Good to me day." Do what's necessary to find a place for peace, calm and pampering. For me that would be- showering with my favorite fragrance gel, then favorite pjs, robe etc. Find a room and favorite chair to escape. Surround myself with favorite books, movies etc. Favorite quick meal and a couple of indulgent treats: a pint of my best ice cream and a few chocolates. Escape and don't feel guilty. Tomorrow is a new day and new start. Find something that will recharge you.🤗❤️❤️
@SouthernBee, you are perceptive and insightful. I think you're spot on... and I will take this message to heart and make a cozy nest -- as @PamfromCT said, a "snuggery!" It's a perfect day to do this, since autumn is my favorite season and last night our first really chilly, crisp, nippy weather tiptoed in. Thank you for your gracious post.❤️
Self-care is not an option! It must be done regularly

@dooBdoo : You have always been very kind and helpful to me and I wanted to help you in some small way.
DH wants to keep the news channel on 24/7 and this is nerve racking. One thing to be informed but not healthy.Difficult times call for more ways to pause and refresh.🤗❤️

these 3 were in hot water sloshing around with 2 white towels
I have a top loader - so I kept up with the agitation several times (no rinsing)
into the dryer - the jacket stll felt loose - HA HEE jacket felt loose
back into the washer and after a very long agitation - into the dryer
it looked like it has been muched lubs by doggies for a month
guess the residual lint is from my new flannel sheets - that was a lot of lint
I washed sheets twice and still eggplant color fluff galore
was it worth the effort? - what else am I doing, right?
it did go thud thud thud but a low thud sound - the dryer didnt have a full load (2 towels)
WAY not as purdy as the pastel colored ones posted earlier - but I'm okay with it
don't know if 3 is enough - we shall see -
pls chime in - whoever uses wool dryer balls

@Yahooey You made dryer balls!
I don't use dryer balls, but I've always wanted to try them. They say they help with static cling too.
Do they feel heavy? If I dried 2 towels, they wouldn't move around in the dryer and get fluffy while drying.

Good morning Lovelies,
Thank you all for being you.
@SouthernBee, What lovely suggestions. I agree with them all. This should be reprinted in newspapers around the country.
Oh, I did not invent the term “Snuggery.” Years ago, we went to the Roosevelt home in the Hudson Valley, a beautiful spot with his library there, as well. The mansion had a small room
called “the snuggery.” I obviously never forgot it, and I think we should all have a space, even a little corner, to escape into a warm and comforting place.
I will add that when I think the walls are closing in, one coping device helps me get back on track. Laughter is so therapeutic. What makes me laugh like an idiot? An idiotic movie. My very favorites...might surprise you. Anyone else do this? Friends want to know.
Wishing we all can have a tiny bit of peace and calm.
