I don't believe they shed and that is why they shear them @Yahooey .  Yes, they wouldn't last long in the"wild".  

It's been years since I saw a show about them, but I think that's right.

Yes- another early start. Had bread machine years ago and worn it out . Then with this current situation difficult to find fresh bread and especially the whole wheat. Every time I found a bread machine it would sell out before I could process the order. This machine popped up on the Bed Bath and Beyond site and sold out after my order was processed. Told my DH that the next difficult thing would be finding the bread flour, yeast, powdered milk and unsalted butter and that took two different trips grocery shopping then only found one bag of bread flour and yeast. Was able to purchase on line 3 boxes of the bread machine mixes and that will be delivered in May. Hopefully the grocery stores will be well stocked soon.Southern Bee
