Re: Prediction for Spring

[ Edited ]

I was surprised to see Cool and Dry in SE Florida. Usually starts getting pretty warm here by then.

@Mz iMac I have been to South East Alaska many times in August to fish for Silver Salmon season. The weather at that time of year was always consistently between 75 during the day and maybe 55 at night. It usually doesn't rain alot when we have been there. Beautiful part of the country.

@cody2   75° must be considered a heat wave in Alaska. Smiley Surprised

@Mz iMac We had good friends who lived there. They were both teachers and they ran a fishing camp. But in the worst of the Winter season, they took their kids and spent a few months in Hawaii every year. The best of both worlds.

I saw some very recent photos of Alaskam cities yesterday.  There wasn't a sign of a flake of snow.  Nothing. Nada.  They're having a drought with warmer weather, and I'm sure are worried about summer fires.   Southeast Alaska gets tons of rain due to the ocean currents.  Maybe not this year though.

Oklahoma?  Ha.  Wrong!  Tornadoes and hail.

My nephew was stationed in Alaska.  Summer can be in the 70's, but it can also hit the 80's because of the long daylight.

Imagine trying to sleep at night when the sun is brightly shining.

I live in Phoenix..the weather channel states just the opposite...hot and dry...the usual for us.

We have had over 150 days with out rain.  It is cloudy today...maybe a couple of sprinkles.  But I doubt hardly anything worthwhile.

I don't believe the farmers almanac.  Wet and cool.

I'm also in PHX...and I don't believe a word of it, either.   di

Phx also. I'll believe it when I see it. Spring... what those few days before it's 100+ for the next 170 days?

I love the winter season and I love the snow. We sure have not gotten very much snow this season at all.  I am in no hurry for the humid and hot summer season lol.

Warm and wet means hot, humid and T storms. With a dash of tornado.  The rite of Spring.
