I just prayed for Callie....I hope God heals her.

Have paused to pray, in Christ for Callie, Jubilant. So sorry for her suffering. Spinal injuries are especially frightening but not beyond the grace and mercy of our Lord. May He lead her medical team and comfort her family, too.

Thank you, Bobbisue and gloriajean. I just got word from my daughter. It appears in her lower spine she has fractured 7, 8, and 9.... and 10 has a compression fracture. Her arm is sprained and her face is all cut up. She bit though her chin and has had surgery on that and will be on liquids for 3 weeks (I think that is what DD said). As of this morning, they weren't doing much of anything for the back so don't know what the plan is for recovery. The good news is while she cannot get up she has feeling in all her limbs. Thank you, God for that. That is so encouraging.

J.C. is going to have a very serious medical procedure done tomorrow morning at the hospital, if any one comes on here and reads tonight or in the morning prayers for a safe procedure would very much be appreciated. Thank you everyone.

Thank you LurkyLoo, I am waiting to hear from family members who are at the hospital with J.C. I am so worried and pray that this goes well . Again I thank you for your prayers very much appreciated by us.

An update on Callie. Callie will be going home but she will need much help. Her DH is a truck driver and on the road a lot. Her sister works full time. Her mom passed away a few years ago and her father and stepmother are coming to get the kids for awhile. They have 8 other big Percheron draft horses in their own barn that have to be cared for. My DD will be there the day she comes home to care of her that day and the days that she can but that is as far as it has gotten. Please pray that there will be more help coming. She is wearing a back brace. Also her right wrist ended up being broken, not a sprain as they originally thought. They are going to send her home tomorrow. I thought maybe all her breaks in her back were compression when I heard that.... but only the #10 is... so I don't understand this at all. Surely she should be going into rehab or something???????? Please pray that more help will arrive or they put her in rehab. Thanks for your prays thus far.

I just prayed for Callie. Perhaps there are organizations with nurses and aides who will come in and help. She needs to tell her Dr. that she wants rehab. I will pray for her again.

I think you are right, Bobbiesue. She is young...only 30. I am hoping someone in the family pursues that. My daughter does not feel that is her place to do that....at least not now. I appreciate your prayers so much. I hope now that the weather is a little better you can get out more easily. Thankfully, we only got about 1/2 inch of snow here in Indiana and it is all melted now. I am so ready for Spring.
