You shouldn't ever take your ticket to the seller to get them to tell you if you have won anything. There are cases where people have been taken advantage of - example, in one NY case the retailer told the person their ticket was worth $1000 and gave them that money & kept the ticket, but the ticket was actually worth $1M.  Just look up the results for yourself online.  If you can get to QVC site, you can google Power Ball and get to the site with the winning numbers.
