You should never post you are away/on vacation, etc., on Facebook either.

You will find yourself coming home to your house being robbed or worse yet, someone in your home waiting for you.

I have a lifelong friend I grew up with who I still love dearly. He was probably one of top three smartest guys all through school and still maintained a humble, sweet, kind nature.

He lives in Carmel, Indiana (near Indianapolis) in a multi million dollar gorgeous home.

He posts pics of his home and pics when he is on vacation.

I always hope and pray he doesn't come home some day to an empty house.

Re: Posting photos on Facebook

I had a birthday recently and my sister in law sent me pics of me growing up, because she scanned all my mom‘s photos. She said she would have put them on my Facebook page (but I had refused to friend her), so texting them to me would have to do. I thanked her for her birthday wish but told her that I did not want photos of me on Facebook. I think it is rude to put someone’s photo on social media without their consent. She is a total busybody and that is why I would not friend her.

Re: Posting photos on Facebook

I am constantly amazed at all the photos and personal info some still post on facebook, and the endless posing -

Why would anyone want private information available for every nutcase to see, it's disturbing.

Re: Posting photos on Facebook

As far as I know, there are no photos of me anywhere online and I'm quite happy about that.

Better safe than sorry IMO

@Puppy Lips You can choose a setting by which you have to approve any pictures you are tagged in.  I mostly do this just because I don't want someone to post an unflattering picture to my fb wall.

I've already noticed that people have become suspicious of photos posted here.  I wish we could just stop AI in its tracks.

Did anyone see the story on DM yesterday about how AI is taking photos of women and pasting them on porn photos - very disturbing. So glad I've kept a very low profile online..........

@BoopOMatic @I just listened to a podcast or read an article about this subject. Some of these people that post these photos directly harass the subjects of their photos for years. Even when caught, law enforcement doesn't know what to charge these perpetrators with if the subject is an adult. Lawmakers need to come up with new laws to address this ASAP. I wish I could remember where I saw or heard it. People are also being blackmailed using this technique. Adult victims have less recourse than child victims until laws are made to protect.

BTW, it was a guy she had grown up with and was friends with, that was sending AI photos of her to everyone she knew and posting on prn sites. She was able to figure out who it was by looking at the room where the photos were supposedly taken in and then matching the room as being the bedroom of the perp's little sister. She went to police with the evidence but they had a hard time finding something to charge him with until one photo was found on his computer which dealt with something else.
