irish - do you want to post pics already on the internet or are you asking about how to post pics that you took with your own camera?

Oh yea - are you using a PC or Mac. I can help you with PC.

Hi, Irish1210 and welcome. I post here by mobile devices, so in order to post pics I must first upload them to PhotoBucket (or another such service), then copy the HTML code that will be displayed next the pic there. Copy that HTML code and paste it here within your post. When you hit Submit, that code will display as your pic!
When you set up your account at the photo storage site of your choice, be sure to make your album Private, so no one from here (or elsewhere online) can view any personal photos or other identifying info.
If you are using a Windows based device, you should be able to simply copy and paste the photos to posts here. That is what I've read from others.
HTH!

If they will not copy/paste from your PC, you may have to follow my instructions from above, Irish. You will need a host server, such as PhotoBucket or TinyPic.
Then copy/paste either the photos themselves, or that HTML code.

Also to note: when editing to resize photos, 460 in width is the limit for keeping within thread margins.

Irish, QVC won't let you upload pics from your PC directly here. You need to have a photo storage site, like Photobucket. If you set up an account with Photobuck, you can get free storage on their services (limited to a specific amount which I don't remember at this time).
I have a free photobucket account.
So, you upload your pics to the photo site (example Photobucket, since that's all I know
). Photobucket will let you lock your photos so they are not in the public. Photobucket also allows you to edit your photos by cropping them and resizing them. Pics may not look big on Photobucket, but many are quite large and eat a thread (lol).
You will need to putter around in the photo storing site to get used to cropping etc. Once you have the pic the way you want it make sure the photo storage site is open in one window and the thread you want to post your pic on is open in another window.
It's as simple as selecting your pic, right clicking on it, selecting copy. Then go to the thread you want to drop your pic and right click again and select post.
It will take you more time to upload pics to the photo storing site and to edit the pics than it does to copy and paste it here.

I agree with Rowan about the size.

Welcome, Irish1210!
I want to add an important note about privacy and security:
If you use a service like Photobucket, carefully check the privacy settings. Since this is an anonymous forum with tens of thousands of potential onlookers, you want to be sure your photo doesn't link to something which exposes your name, email address, or other personal information.
I hope you enjoy posting your photos!![]()
