It looks like go to send this new plane of our Armed Services to seek out help in the search. It seems to be amazing and it looks for underwater subs.....etc. I so hope and pray that there will be answers in the next few days.........lots of high tech equipment. I would love to learn more about the plane.

I heard on the radio today that the U.S. has budgeted $4 billion to aid in the search. I think they're up to $2 billion as of now.

I know somebody's going to blast me for this because those billion dollar figures are pretty outrageous, but we taxpayers need to remember that these kinds of missions accomplish a lot in terms of training the troops. If they have to run training missions anyway, why not have a real goal in mind. I've heard that from state National Guard leaders who help with "citizen" problems like people who get lost in the mountains/wildnerness, disaster aid following natural events like floods, etc.

VCamp I see where you are coming from and it would be nice if they would repay the money but I don't know how that works.........you know a person can't get their Social Security in Malaysia if they wanted to live there.......maybe some things will change but I think that government is pretty strict. I still say America is a fabulous place. Yet I would live in Italy, France, Ireland.........but since I won't be moving I will be fine right here. There are not many places I would rather be.

I forgot to add that yes it is sad they are getting training this way but it will help them for future disasters. Sad though. I wish those people were on an Island waiting for help but I don't think they are alive. I pray I am wrong.

OT

R&R, isn't today your appointment with your ENT? I hope all goes (or went) well.

You can collect your social security if you live in Malaysia. Just have direct deposit, which I believe you now have to have..
