@SouthernBee wrote:@jackthebear : I live in Georgia and in the city and it happens until 2 or 3 in the morning for several days. Also , New Years. Last month - no special holiday but some had fireworks going.

@spumoni99 : Thank you and totally agree. Our fireworks just started. We are in the den watching baseball game and turned the volume up. DH has a tower fan next to his recliner and turned it on .We can still hear the fireworks. DH has tried several different brands of headphones but difficult for him to wear. Plus DH has a continuous ringing in his ears but fireworks makes everything worse. He has tried earplugs and very uncomfortable. Sadly some comments have been made. Some things are not so simple and you can't just get over it.
Geez: I just put a long gown on and covered up because his fan is on high and I am cold and its 84 outside😯🙄

If a person is allowed to shoot off fireworks until 3 am then there is a problem with your local laws. Most towns and municipalities have laws/rules about what times they must end (usually by 10 pm) and can only be used for a certain number of days. In my area, they can only be shot off between July 3rd and July 5th until 10 pm each night. Sounds like it's time to petition your city council if there are no laws in effect!
Personally I don't really like a lot of fireworks, especially by individuals in their neighborhoods. But, it's a tradition for this holiday and celebration, so I put up with it. Not all Veterans and not all pets react badly. I feel sad for those that do.

Here they do it but it is against the law mostly, they are shooting off illegal fireworks mosts of the time. I have heard on nextdoor that they are cracking down this year so hopefully they do.
