When I was a very young teen, I viewed her in the TV production of "The Helen Morgan Story." I didn't know who Helen Morgan was, but I was hooked by the music, especially "Bill." My teen hormones responded to the high drama of the story. Ms. Bergen had a calming presence -- and the most beautiful skin, as I recall. May she rest in peace.

Remember her as the snobby grandmother in Cry Baby with Johnny Depp. Also, think she made her debut in 1952 in The Stooge with Martin and Lewis. She was a regular on the To Tell the Truth game show panel.

I did a search for her paper dolls and saw all of them.. even those I remember cutting out, like her hats and stoles. What a walk down memory lane seeing all if them. Glad youenjoyed n them too, lulu. Hope you get a chance to read the link I posted about her.

I remember her a regular panelist on the To Tell the Truth game when I was a child. I believe I had her cutouts also.

i loved her in the original CAPE FEAR.....if you have not seen it you must! also loved her during the mini-series heyday when she did WINDS OF WAR and its sequel. she was GREAT as the slightly wacky, woman who loved to drink and smoke, mistress of tony sopranos father. may she rest in peace.
