@MoonieBaby   They wouldn't be using filters on camera for Martha!  lol. She probably uses excellent make up and no serious close ups. Too expensive and it would distort products. You can tell a filter, it's a little fuzzy, like you need to wipe the screen. lol in the old days they used vasoline. , true story.

I wouldn't be so sure!  It was stated ON air that Joan Rivers insisted on filters Any time she was on air on QVC.

@RespectLife  I am sure Joan was joking. Or she had her own, lol.  She always talked about filters. She is the one who joked about ever her mirrors had vasoline on them, lol. I do know some top of the line A listers request no shots or angles from certain sides.  I would be surprised if they did use filters on Martha, or any of the hosts. It is a big deal. Maybe in the old days when they had different cameras, and more people working. But you never know. They could do it with a camera room, where all the cameras are run from a separate room with comtrols.  But I didn't think QVC had that kind of set up. They have those recolvimg small sets and backdrops. And they need track cameras  to get product at any angle on command. But then again never  know!

I'd be happy if she just didn't look so openly bored with the whole thing.  If it's so horrible why doesn't she retire to the farm?

@Kachina624   I agree she looks annoyed that she had to make the trip to the studio. She probably should stay home and bake something with one hand while painting her house with the other. lol

Gee,I thought the days of telling women to smile were done.  I've heard that line so many times over the years it's unreal.  "Such a pretty smile" stuff.  Have also heard the aloof comments.

Im no fan of Martha Stewart but the smile comments aren't fair.  I smile when I feel like it, she probably does, too. Maybe a big phoney smile would please  some people, not me.

Aloofness can be a very positive,  admirable quality.

Many times I would rather see aloofness than the completely fake and phony air kisses and hugs.
