That phrase was most likely created by someone who isn't a native from California. It was probably invented by a person who goes to California to party and socialize...so I guess the phrase could mean "party clothes" that you would rock on the beach.

       I would never use CA and chic in the same sentence.  When I think chic, I think London, NYC, Paris.  CA makes me think laid back, informal, anything goes.

@nana59  NOt sure I really care what it is in CA.

 

I already have Cozy Comfort Chic in Columbus so I'm good.

California...yes casual, yes cozy. They are saying chic because of the material and that many celebs like the brand.

 

In this case it's 

 

CO$Y COMFORTABLE CA$UAL CHIC

I wear Comfy, Cozy, CHARLOTTE, Chic...which means I wear whatever I want to.

I believe it is the west coast equivalent of Madison Avenue high end chic. In other words, it is marketing baloney.
