It IS good to be prepared. And there are lots of good ideas here. 

 

When I was growing up in Georgia everyone had bomb shelters. My parents did not. I used to argue with my dad about having one. He told me they didn't believe in them because even if something disastrous happened, they didn't want to come out into the world that would be left.

 

 

 

Ironically, DS plays video games like Fallout, and we have seen the series on TV. My parents might have been onto something.

 

 

 

 I know that's not what this thread is about. But I think that has influenced the way I think about things. I believe in keeping non-perishable food and water on hand, but that's about it. We're more conscious today about having enough medication, making sure our pets are OK and fed, etc.
