Thought I would try one more time....hoping the incorrect tax issue was fixed after several emails to corporate and phone call...
well I was WRONG. Still charged tax on grocery/ food AGAIN....SPENDING AN HOUR + ON THE PHONE TO GET CREDIT.
Then only half the order made it to me...one box was lost....
More phone calls to get credit on the lost box....
NEVER AGAIN😡

I sympathize with you completely. so tired of websites now charging tax on items that here in MD we do not pay tax on. I refuse to buy supplements on SHQ for that reason. Talking to deaf ears is so frustrating.

I stopped order from Walmart.com a while ago. Not because of groceries but because when ordering from their "world market" / third party vendor, you can't return that item. Even though I've been told when placing the order with the help of a live customer service agent. And those world market/third party vendor items usually have to be returned via FedEx and return fees apply. I guess that's why my local Walmart has a FedEx pop up right next to Customer Service within the Walmart store where you make your returns.

@SeaMaiden I do feel your pain. Although Walmart has helped me get through this past year, their mistake rate is truly unbelievable.
Right now I am struggling with an ethical dilemma. About two weeks ago I picked up a $65 curbside order. From the actual pickup where no one would answer the phone to let them know I was there, to incorrect items and prices, I have been on the phone with Customer Care seven times.
The thing is, they are making mistakes in MY favor, so now I HAVE GAINED $150. I have called them twice to tell them to TAKE AWAY the money, but they keep giving me more. (If only this would happen in a casino.)
Since you speak to a different person each time you call, it takes 20 minutes to explain this lunacy.
I'm an honest person, but I think I'm done.

I placed my last one as well. I ordered several items including a few from their 3rd party sources. When I checked out I ALWAYS look at the shipping cost to make sure it is free. I placed my order and checked my acct that night and saw 21.00 more on the amt I paid. I went back and pulled my order up and found that one of the vendors not sure who charged 18.75 for shipping. I looked at every item and made sure there were no charges and there wasn't. I cancelled the order immediately and it wouldn't let me cancel the 3rd party ones they sd it was too late. This was on March 24th. Today I went in to see what actually came out because tthey still sd pending cancellation on the order heading. BUT I still got 4 items delivered and when I checked today there was cat food pending delivery. I did a chat and they sd they would refund the money on the cat food. But seriously it just made me upset so I'm done.

This doesn't help any of you, but I have great luck with Walmart. A year or so ago I had trouble with Fed Ex, Walmart's delivery system, but now everything comes on time, and sometimes early. It may not last , but so far so good.

There may be some quirk in your state tax law that causes them to charge tax. In NM we have no tax on groceries unless they are delivered. Then they are taxed. You might check the the state tax office.

When I order from Walmart, I stay away from any third party vendors.

@PickyPicky3 At this point, I'd let it go. Believe me, they can afford it and if their CS isn't sharp enough to resolve problems, and in my experience they aren't, well that would be their problem. I was going to try their pick up or delivery but there were too many glitches, the representative I spoke to was not helpful and the food available for delivery as opposed to 'in store only' was not satisfactory. When I was told to avail myself of pick-up I'd have to select a store miles away when there are at least three local stores, I decided it was a 'thank you very much and y'all take care now' moment.

I've used Walmart pickup for about 4 years and very rarely has there been a glitch. When there has, it's the website not the people but they're minor. I never see any "in store only" items.
