While out on the road, today.....Sirius radio were playing songs by Liza and her mom, Judy...such beautiful voices they had...can she no longer sing???

It's not really Liza's song, maybe they did ask her.

I wondered why they didn't have Liza sing it too - but the more I thought about it: maybe they did ask her & she declined; her sister Lorna is a singer also (albeit not nearly as successful), & maybe Lorna wouldn't be too thrilled at not being asked to sing it (as another daughter of Judy Garland), & it wouldn't really fit the song to have 2 of them sing it, & then Joey would be left sitting in the audience. Like, all or nothing? Thanks heavens Pink sang it well. Liza is on tour (a small one right now) so is still singing for $. I don't think her voice is as good as it was, but she can sing. (She can sing better than Tony Bennett, who still charges too much $ for performing IMO.) She was on Paula Deen's cooking show couple years ago & Queen Latifah's fairly recently.

Believe me, you would NOT have wanted to hear Liza sing it. Through all her drugs, alcohol and trials and tribulations, her voice is gone. The last time I heard her sing in public, it was an embarrassment, truly.

I think Bette Midler was great .....she did a beautiful job. It was nice to see Pink look so lovely; usually her outfits are pretty bizarre. she is very talented.
