@Kachina624 ::

I get ya.

I can only eat half-sour pickles (aka 'half-brine' or 'new pickle') due to my decades-long GERD.  But thankfully, they are sooo good!

Sour, Dill, Kosher/Kosher Dill all work for when I'm craving something salty/sour and crunchy - Or, on a Burger, or in a Potato Chip. Smiley Wink

Sweet Pickle Relish goes in my potato salad, tuna salad and deviled eggs.

I was buying the Organic Woodstock bread and butter pickles and they are so good tasting and they have a beautiful presentation via their jar....it  looked more appealing than the other brands which is why I originally chose it, (have never been to Woodstock) but  like one of the other people here stated, I started to develop acid reflux and so stopped buying it.  Purchased it from the Natural Grocers.

I do love to order Katz deli pickles once in a while. They have the half brine, which are large, young crunchy cucumbers with a slight brine. The full sour is good too. Then if I have certain sandwiches I have to have bread and butter, for that I love Bubbies, or Clausens bread and butter.

Before I retired I worked downtown near Katz for 25 years, delcious sandwiches and everything else on the menu and those pickles!!!

My family loves pickles and that area in the pantry better never be empty!  We drink the dill brine to help with leg cramps as well.

Right now there are jars of sweet heat bread and butter pickles, sweet relish, sweet salad cubes, dill ovals, dill relish, dill spears and dill salad cubes in the pantry.  A jar of mild pepper rings and jar of pepperoncini in the fridge.

I do too! It has worked well for me. Don't have a clue why I sometimes get them but pickle juice always helps.

They look good.

I have a friend who thought pickles came from the ocean. She thought they grew down in the depths of the sea where divers would go to harvest them and put them in those big pickle barrels in stores. I burst out laughing...she was serious. 🤣

That is so funny.

My obsession is the Clausen kosher dills located in the refrigerated section of the store.  They are pricy.  I think I paid $7 + for my last jar, but I don't care.  I must have those garlicy, crunchy, dills.  I haven't found any other brand to compare.  My other obsession are those sweet gherkins.  Don't even put a jar of those in front of me!
