Pedal Pusher, Capri or Cropped.  Being short I pick Pedal Pusher.

Cropped. The other two lengths cut the leg off and create a shorter overall appearance. Cropped elongates by creating a more vertical line.

I'm also short and in the last several years I gravitate towards cropped.  I also get a pedi all summer and wear cute sandals.

To my eye, cropped length is the worst if you have short legs, It breaks up the lower leg line giving a cutoff visual. Pedal pusher length that cuts around the kneee area lengthens the legline visually and is most flattering- To my eye...

The shorter length, the capris, peddle pushers, skimmers, are very sporty and informal.  I'm not comfortable wearing them to a business affair or out to dinner.  I find the crops more versatile as they can be worn anywhere.

@Bonkers1   I prefer crops.  I do some healthcare consulting part time and I like Susan Graver's crops for work.  I recently ordered these in taupe and really like them.  Edited to add:  I always order the petite even tho I'm 5'7

I used to wear dresses all summer and plan to return to dresses this summer. I've already bought two, one 100%  cotton, the other a cotton/linen blend.
