Remember the bogus IRS phone Calls?  One big operation to fleece Americans has been busted in India.

We got a cal from these creeps and I hung up on them

Glad they got busted.  I received calls from these scammers twice.  Just hung up.  But interestingly, just got another very similar call  from a female voice yesterday.  I suspect these organizations are like cockroaches, for every one you see there are 100 others you don't.

I too received calls from them, about 3 and they all went into my voice mail.  Easy to detect that they were from India. Never spoke to them just let them rant their easily detectable accents demanding money from me.  Unbelievable that people actually fell for it. Did it make me mad, you better believe it did!

I was under the impression that most of these calls originated in Nigeria where fleecing Americans is a national pastime.  They seem to be all over the place.  They must think we're real dummies and in many cases, we are.

It's about time! I received some calls and reported them to the IRS.  They were very persistent, rude, and threatening.  

I am disappointed to see this article mentions Indian police had not worked with the U.S. authorities on this case.  IMO they should be working together to stop these scams and hold them accountable.

That's probably the tip of the iceburg with these scammers.  Must be thousands of them all over the world...

Finally, the first time they called it scared me, then my hubby said if there was a problem we would received a letter in the mail. So after that I would just say don't call me I know you are a scam and hang up.

I wonder if they're related to the folks from Microsoft?  LOL  grrrrrrrrrrrrr I told one one day, you fool, I work for Microsoft too... hung up on me ..
