QVC, please keep the forums open.

Why?  One word: Goodwill.

Re: Petition to QVC =Keep the Forum OPEN

It is absolutely in QVC's best interest to keep these forums open!  The poor decision to close them reveals a total lack of understanding of the psychology of loyalty/belonging, as it relates to sales. And, certainly an ignorance concerning how women make purchasing decisions.

As many others have stated, I, too, have made many online purchases after reading the advice and tips of others on this forum. I don't intend to be mean, but being told to "put it in my cart and check out" just doesn't do it for me. It tends to have the opposite effect on me. Again - just stating facts, not criticising show hosts. I am sure that is how they are being trained these days. As a matter of fact, QVC started becoming less customer friendly when they ended the practice of "actually holding" your items in your cart for an hour - back when no one coud raid your cart by checking out quicker (while you considered adding to or changing your purchase).

Yes, I do still spend quite a bit of money with QVC. And, I probably have another 20 years or so of online shopping left in me - lol.  However, I do not like a good many of the changes I have seen here, and I do think that sort of negativity tends to add up and change habits.

AND, THE DECISION TO CLOSE THE FORUMS IS THE WORST DECISION YET.  It really makes no business sense. And, no I will not be a good little customer and follow the "group" over to Facebook.

My vote is to keep the forums open.

It seems counterintuitive that the PTB are closing down the one place that really sustains community and interest to purchase.  The hosts continually act as though they are our friends coming into our homes to sell sell sell.

Thus, why not keep the customer word of mouth open to help sell sell sell?

Shaking my head. 🥺

Keep the forums open!   Long time Qvc shopper here. The forums are a purchase generator.  The forums draw people to the website and then give info on products all at one stop. Everytime I visit the forums I also browse the website for items to purchase.  I have never and will never use facebook -like many I know.  Even my kids and their spouses in their 30's do not use facebook anymore.

It will be a very sad day indeed if QVC goes through with their plan to shut down this forum. It keeps me coming to the website several times every day even when I'm not shopping or watching because QVC is out of season with the tropical climate I live in. It provides so much useful information to so many people. One thing that is very clear...there is a deep hatred for Facebook. This will not drive traffic there. Bad, bad busness decision.
