Perry Como ~ Still Alive Right? ~~

Started thinking about him, after learning the news of Andy Williams. Their voices, so different, but loved Perry's performances also a lot and his background. At the time his shows were on TV I was abt. 14-15 I think, and my Dad refused to buy TV until I finished highschool, so I wouldn't neglect my homework. Thus I had to ask for permission to see it at my girlfriend's house. Boy, if we stood around and talked afterward, there the bell would ring, and my Dad - all worked up - would order me home THEN. Yes he was strict, and in many ways was very old fashioned, but getting older you can have a real appreciation for that.

Loved Perry's voice and shows, and hope he is still well and happy.
