Just a little food for thought-
Doesn't have to be the look you see- imagine your brow coloring which can be accomplished-and just the art of having something that looks like individual hairs that could in a nano-second be penciled in a bit-
You wouldn't want a "stenciled" look for sure-
Have you thought at all about brow extensions? I have a friend who has them, they are beautiful-but, realistically, they don't last very long-
But, if it's just a brow tail you need, you might be able to get a deal on the microblading! ![]()
Could I be bored maybe? And brow beating you? LOL

And then there's my neck...lol...I am researching Kyabella. 😂😏
Yes, me too @tansy. My girlfriend who does this has a book with literally hundreds of before and afters that she has done herself. Every microblader who works there has the same. I think one mistake I see many microbladers make is not the technique but taking the color too dark for their hair and skin tone. She said she agreed with that. She usually encourages the ladies to go a tiny bit lighter and then shows them pictures of ladies who insisted on going darker than her recommendation. They usually wish they would have listened but the good thing about that is that it isn't permanent.
I have watched her do one eyebrow. I was going to stay for the whole thing but it is so tedious, I could not. I really don't know how she does that the whole day but thankfully there are people who don't mind that. I certainly could not.

There are many that offer Groupons too which make it more reasonable.

I had never heard of microblading until I saw my hair stylist 6 weeks ago. She asked me if I had heard of microblading and then said she had just had her brows done the weekend prior! They looked fabulous!! She was very happy with the results and how easy the aftercare and healing had been. My question was about the pain. She said "I'm not gonna lie, it hurt but I'll do it again!!" I was blessed with great eyebrows and am just starting to see them thin. For the time being, I'll fill them in. I would definitely look into microblading.

I think a true master can accomplish anything-
I wonder if it has extended to hairlines on women-I haven't seen it but, I think the potential could be life changing-
I'm genuinely captivated by the result-

@Irshgrl31201,there have always been two methods of eyebrow tattooing - outlining and "filling in" with solid color (the cheap route) and the more expensive "individual hairs" tattooing just like microblading. There's a difference in inks used, too. You can always tell someone who had a bad, cheap tattooing because six months later it looks, as I said in an earlier post, like someone colored thick brows on your face with a purple magic marker. Good dye will not turn purple; cheap dye does.
I do think from what I've been seeing, that microblading still looks a bit better than tattoo individual hairs. They seem to have more control of the outcome & overall look.

Snork ;-)
Brow extensions sound like some kind of joke, seriously!
I'd just like a minimal maintenance, natural-looking solution where the cost-to-length-of-time-it-lasts ratio is reasonable.

Ahhh, yah...but no. At least, not for me. In LA when I was investigating tattooing several years ago, when you looked up their website (if they had one) and their background, experience & photos, the Groupon people were the ones I knew I wouldn't go to.

Yes, there is a difference in ink and I do believe the tattooing goes deeper too if I am not mistaken. LIke I said the clients I have who have had tattooing had it done quite a while ago which probably added to it not being the greatest. I also don't know of their skill level but it doesn't appear to be the greatest! lol! I would love to see what a great permanent eyebrow tattoo looks like in person. Working in the beauty industry, I usually have a friend who works in about every type of service but I have never known a cosmetic tattoo artist who did permanent lip or eyeliner or brows, just my friend the microblader. She does gorgeous work.
I will say my clients who have the permanent brows have them so dark it adds to the fakey kind of look.

I know-I know-the extensions don't last long at all-
I did want to add-though I wasn't going to go here, (I was afraid it might invite negativity) that I have seen some magnificent work from inkers on our old burn patients-the brows were never a "stenciled" (filled in) look, as the plastic surgeons wouldn't allow it-they had a huge hand in the decision making for the inkers and patients-and didn't want them to regret it later-
The lips were never lined-but wow, a good artist, can add shadowing that even mimics the lines in the lip-
One thing @Irshgrl31201 mentioned, that has importance and was always done with the burn patients I witnessed, was using paler colors than one would expect to see-you did not see a pink or red lip-or an extremely dark brow as mentioned-that was something they'd be taught to do by a make-up expert-same with coloring in their brows, once healed-
I bet we'd take a hundred photographs of a patient-study their parents photos through the years and their photos before they were burned, in an attempt to imagine them before, potential changes-expressions-movements-anatomy-
Pretty spectacular-
Night all-
