Peridontal coverage

I am a senior on medicare with a highmark supplement. I have a little dental coverage, but need some periodontal work done, and this is not covered. I thought a long while back it was covered under my hospitalization since it is surgery. It doesn't seem to be now.

Just wondering if anyone has found coverage.
