I hope QVC knows that it is not legal to sell pepper spray gel through the Mail to some states. I do not see where that is stated in the description. You must be 18 to buy it and it must be in person.

@Janey2.  Somebody needs to tell Amazon; I've bought it there.  Are you sure you're not thinking of mace?

Pepper Spray cannot be shipped to NY or Mass. Two other states have restrictions. 

More than likely it is being shipped UPS to other states that allow it.

Its very easy to obtain in a Firearms store. 

As @Kachina624 said, maybe you are thinking of Mace?

You have to look up the laws. Every state seems to have their own rules regarding the spray.

Amazon won't ship it to CA either.

If it is like other items that don't ship to certain states, the shopping channels don't state that but when you put it in your cart and go to check out it tells you it can't ship to your address.  That's what happens with Amazon, too.

@Janey2  I order mine from Amazon never had a problem.  Seriously doubt they would be making "illegal" sales.  I understand what you believe but at the same time they hsve a legal department so again going to say it's fine.  100% believe they run items like that through their legal department.  If in fact it is restricted in your state then I would have to say a warning would come up when you try to purchase it,  kinda like all the California warnings on items that have certain materials in them.

Until recently, wine could not be shipped to my state, and even when it was allowed, each vendor had to jump though hoops to be allowed to ship it here.  QVC has finally been allowed, but I'm sure there are many small wineries that might not be able to afford to do so.  I'm sure one of the hoops involves some sort of payment to the state and I doubt it's a small amount.  But, I digress.  When QVC has wine sales, at some point during the presentation, they show a map on the screen that indicates which states it can be shipped to and which states it cannot.  The map doesn't stay up long.

I live in Westchester County NY. I tried ordering the pepper spray from QVC as well as Amazon, it showed it could not ship to my location.

All 50 states and the District of Columbia have authorized the use of pepper spray for self-defense in some form or another.

There are some restrictions on the size of the cannister that can be sold.

Anybod6 buying it should look for the gel form as there's no backspray on the user.
