We went last night to see the fireworks. naturally there were a lot of people there and a lot of children. The ones parked next to us were obnoxious. The kids had all different kinds of fireworks with them - some things with strings that you pull on both ends and the thing flashes and those things that you throw and when they hit something they flash. We were subjected to constantly having to duck these flashes in our faces and several of those things they throw hit me on the legs.The parents made absolutely no effort to control these kids and they were running around in this crowded park throwing these things. I am far from the only person getting hit by them. I told the kid to stay away from me - but, you know, you have to be careful what you say to people's kids now a days. How would you handle this? The parents appeared to be intoxicated - does that surprise anyone ? We would have moved but there was just no where to go as it was crowded.
