Have you ever dealt with someone that snores? If so, how did you handle it? Those so called nasal strips never really worked. I had to resort to ear plugs which was a better option

I moved to the couch for a couple of years before I moved out completely.

My late sister and her husband came for Christmas one year back in the '90's and spent the night.  My brother was over that night as well and spent many nights with us throughout the year.

That morning my sister's husband asked how in the world did I ever sleep between my husband snores, my 12 year old son's snores, and my brother's snores?   He said he thought about going out to their car to sleep.  I told him it was beyond awful when they would all be under the roof singing their songs.

It would be a good idea for people who snore so loudly to be evaluated to see if they have sleep apnea.

Separate bedrooms, for years now.  BUT, he does use those nasal strips and they do work for him.  AND, when he lost weight, he stopped snoring as much.  We will have company this weekend so we will be in the same room again for a few days.  Hopefully he won't keep me up!

@aj1980

I know people snore ....it's nice to know I'm in good company 😌

I get so frustrated! I have begged him to get the sleep study test for sleep apnea!

I have tried EVERYTHING...except the separate bedrooms!

That's my mission today ! Thanks for the fantastic advice ! 😀

My husband has sleep apnea, he found out when he did the sleep study. When he sleeps on his back, for some reason he still snores, so I have to nudge him to get him to sleep on his side. I'm not ready to go to the spare bedroom, sometimes I'll put my AirPods in my ears and listen to music to help drown out the snoring.

Re: People Who Snore

[ Edited ]

I hear DH snore sometimes. I push him & yell knock it off. He generally rolls over & it stops. If it gets bad I will kick him out of the bedroom since I'm not dealing with that plus not getting my sleep.

My sister sleeps on the couch due to her husband's snoring. She should tell him to sleep some place else?
