People Butting In With Opinions

I've noticed that as I have aged and keep company also with those who are aging, people are getting a bad habit of giving their opinions about things when I haven't solicited one.

Since I have retired, my circle of people I am around is getting smaller, so I don't know if I'm noticing it more or if people think they can advise me or make remarks when I haven't asked for one. Example: today a friend (who's full of advice) told me she thought I paid too much for my lawn care. Well I don't, but what business is it to her anyway?

It's not just this example--I'm hearing it quite a bit lately. Boundaries, you know?
