Brief American history lesson: New Mexico was part of Mexico along with California, Arizona, and several other western and southern states. The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848 resulted in Mexico relinquishing claim to over half of its territory. The Territory of New Mexico (and Arizona) was eventually established, and New Mexico was admitted to Statehood in 1912.

Never lived in Georgia but I love ❤️ pecans, whether from Georgia U.S.A., New Mexico U.S.A. or Arizona U.S.A.  My next door neighbor had a pecan tree that produced a decent supply for years, tho sadly it has passed.  Arizona is 4th in pecan production, nationwide, according to the Arizona Dept. of Agriculture.

It's strange to me that there are people in this country who are under the impression that New Mexico is a part of Mexico.

I live in Georgia so I would not order pecans from New Mexico or any place else.

A nurse friend of mine decided to move to New Mexico. A few of her Co workers were asking her why and if he knew how terrible it was there and she might not get back to the US. I couldn't believe it.

@Sage04

I lived in Albuquerque for 2 1/2 years in the early-mid 90's and when moving I had friends thinking we were moving to Mexico.  Like you, I couldn't believe it.  It is RIGHT NEXT DOOR to my home state of Texas.

Yes ma'am. I live in southern GA and Adcock Pecan Company does a brisk business from all those passing through town on the interstate. They has a site to order from. They're reputable and been in business a long time.
