I agree less fuzzier than they used to be. Have you tried our Colorado Western Slope peaches, delicious. I slice mine with a drizzle of balsamic glaze yum.

@rockygems123    Oh yes, best peaches in the world but they're hard to find here.  I haven't had a decent peach for several years.  I'd love to have a basket full.

roadside stands. folks go to Colorado and bring 'em down to us peons

and 6 for 10 or a few more for 15

 

I pay it because season doesn't last that long.

i LOVE Peaches but Peaches here are the PITS.   grocery store peaches are all nasty and mealy.   we don't get them at stands and don't grow peaches this far north. i've had maybe 8 decent peaches this summer.

 

never eat the skin, the loose ones have been man-handled and put back if they fall on the floor.

I use a peeler (like one for carrots) to peel peaches and nectarines.

I have a wonderful peach and tomato peeler I got from Amazon, I always peel, just did about an hour ago. I peel all friuit.
