If you were in a Basketball (or Football, etc.) pool (I'm speaking of the recently played NCAA Basketball Tournament) and you agreed that by playing in the pool you were obligated to pay such and such an amount, which was agreed upon prior to entering the pool, don't you agree that you have an obligation to pay that agreed upon amount?

We had an NCAA office pool which I won (YAY!) and one of the players has yet to pay up. He's been reminded a few times (the final game was a month ago) and keeps saying, "Oh, yeah, you know I'm good for it". And then there were a few "I'm going by the bank today" and "I don't have it right now, but I'll have it tomorrows".

Today he was reminded again, by ME this time (as I was getting a little ticked off - someone else was reminding him previously) and he said, "Oh, yeah, by the end of the day today, I PROMISE".

Three minutes until the end of the work day. He hasn't paid up and he hasn't mentioned it. But he did go out for a nice lunch and got a haircut.

What would you do? I'm really ticked off but I don't want to have to ask him again.

BTW, this guy is the VP of the company.

Oh, yeah, and he's always acting like Mr. Nice Guy.
