Article on MSN about famous romantic triangles. Patti Boyd who first married George Harrison, then Eric Clapton, still looks great today. Wow, I would love to read her autobiography! Me and my sisters just loved her and her style.

I googled her a few years ago since I thought having both those men in her life was quite something. I think she has a website even now.

Oh goodness am I wrong but isn't Patti the inspiration for the Eric Clapton song "Layla"? . . . between that song and the Sting's "Every Breath You Take" those are quite lucky women as it must be overwhelming that such talented men were that mesermized by you! . . . ![]()

How current and pretty she looks in her 70's, or whatever age she was in that picture. And also, regardless of how women are "aging" or conspicuously, not aging, I love when they show a vibrancy and individuality in the way they dress. Her necklace and outfit suggest to me she has an ageless spirit...

Yes, she was the inspiration for that song. I must say that "Layla" still looks gorgeous! ![]()

When her autobiography first came out, I remember once Sunday afternoon I sat in a bookstore with it and skimmed through the entire book, reading the parts I wanted to read. It was time well spent.
I highly recommend Clapton's autobiography, Clapton. It's very good, of course there is a section about her (and he's pretty honest about everything I think) and Clapton comes off as extremely intelligent. Good for him. The book made me quite impressed with him, aside from all the great music. I read it after I saw him promo-ing it on Larry King and was impressed with the interview (well, Clapton's part of the interview, not Larry King's LOL).
It's odd how Clapton and Harrison remained friends even after the whole triangle thing. Harrison took responsibility for treating Patti badly during their marriage. Both men when married to her cheated constantly.

She threw her marriage away from George who she professed to love deeply yet blamed the times, the drugs and alcohol, their infidelity and Clapton's incessant pestering that he had to have her and no other. George asked her not to go but she did and Clapton cheated on her which ended their marriage. But in the end, George found a great woman...Olivia and they produced a son Dhani.
