Didn't know there was a quote for ones being in their  seventies , remember back when I heard the fifties one, but you made my day hearing this new one. Now if we could only be as lucky as Pat Benatar  and look that good,are you sure that is a recent picture of her. Looks great and natural nothing plastic looking like so many  when they start to age.

I have seen her perform numerous times over the years and just a couple of years ago with Neil locally at a small venue.  Let me tell you, she can still belt out those songs, she looks amazing and sounds it too!   If you are a fan pick up her book "Between a Heart and a Rock Place" . It's her memoir and it's a very interesting story.  She was the first female to appear on MTV, you go girl!   BTW, I think she looks great for her age.

She grew up around the corner from where I grew up.  We didn't know each other, but we had several friends in common.  She was two years behind me in school and I remember the first time I heard her sing, she blew me away.  She keeps in touch with a lot of her childhood friends and visits them when she's on LI/NY and some go out to visit her in California.  Everyone always has great things to say about her.  Just a lovely lady all around.

Love her music.

 @roeroe1005 , Lucky you to see Pat Benatar perform at that amusement park in Rye, NY.  And that amusement park is known as Rye Playland, still going strong at 95 years! I live nearby, and the Rye Playland area is part of my daily walking routine.

Pat Benatar looks great and is still going strong as well Heart

@MissRose722,

Oh!  I miss Playland! My dad used to take my sister, cousins and me on Fridays in the summer when we were young.

I would go to the concerts every Thursday evening sponsored by WPLJ & CBS radio stations.  I saw alot of great performers for free.

My sister, nephews and I used to go to Scared by the Sound every Halloween too.

So many great memories.  And of course the beach and that great restaurant on the boardwalk (can't remember the name).

I also worked at that big, ugly white building when it was General Foods.Woman Wink

Nice to meet a former neighbor!

@roeroe1005  Nice to meet you too!

Playland indeed creates great memories! So glad you and your family enjoyed this gem of an amusement park - my family and I had fun times there as well.

The restaurant on the boardwalk was previously known as The Pier - it is now under new management with a slight name change - it's the Tiki Beach Pier. Still open from May to October and still serving great food along with great music (live bands, DJs).

And I also remember when General Foods occupied that huge white building, which was jokingly referred to as "The Taj Mahal"!
