I miss the handsome, always professional Dave King. He and Lisa Robertson did a rendition of "Baby It's Cold Outside" that can be viewed on Youtube. It was quite tasteful.

@SandySparkles   I loved the way they did that song!  I liked Dave King a lot, too.  He was one of my favorite hosts at the time.

Dave King went on to become an actor. I saw him in an episode of "Parenthood" years ago. Dave King and Lisa Robertson were rumored to be an item off screen but no one ever confirmed it.  I even emailed Mary Beth trying to get the scoop but she didnt reply.

Well, I'd hope Mary Beth wouldn't reply!

What you were fishing for, would be NOYB, or anyone else's!

It would also, have been very unprofessional, for her to comment, on a co-workers, private life.

Poor Bob Bowersox was prank called by someone who was buying "The Lid Lifter" can opener.  Bob didnt seem to get that this guy was pulling his leg.

Wow, you mean someone called the testimonial line and was just goofing?  I always wondered if they screen those out.  I always wanted to call when Chaz was on.  He's the only vendor I'm interested in.  I like Lisa Rinna too but Chaz is my favorite and I SO wanted to call and talk to him but...I'm chicken!  Ain't that awful?  LOL.  Serious though!  Please post more about this.  I love to laugh....XO

I think one reason the 1990's was QVC's Glory Days is because shopping on TV was new.  It was different and fun.  QVC had the hourly contests and 50/50 tours.  Hosts dressed up like they were going to formal events (definitely no pajamas or unprofessional clothing on air).  Shopping was a party!   Most items sold were innovative and 'bargains.'   I saw items sold I didn't even know existed.  I know I watched and purchased because TV shopping was all such a fresh, new idea.   I stayed up late just to watch Mike Rowe.  What a hoot!

Now QVC is worn out and boring.  To me, anyway.
