I think one reason the 1990's was QVC's Glory Days is because shopping on TV was new. It was different and fun. QVC had the hourly contests and 50/50 tours. Hosts dressed up like they were going to formal events (definitely no pajamas or unprofessional clothing on air). Shopping was a party! Most items sold were innovative and 'bargains.' I saw items sold I didn't even know existed. I know I watched and purchased because TV shopping was all such a fresh, new idea. I stayed up late just to watch Mike Rowe. What a hoot!
Now QVC is worn out and boring. To me, anyway.
