LMAO at all the armchair psychologists here.

FIrst, PTSD is NOT an exclusive condition to the miliary.  It is a condition that is also found, among other groups of people, children who have been physically/sexually/emotionally abused.

I am by no means saying that he had this BEFORE this incident; I'm just clarifying that PTSD is not exlusive to the military.

Second, this thread was started for what reason?  Mom isn't in the race, the family isn't even a blip on anybody's radar except those who look for anything to pick at.

And that is exactly why this thread was started.  The responses indicate an unbelievable hatred of this family for no other reason than to be hateful.  Period.

Whether one agreed with the mother back then, and I'm not one who did, either, get over it already.

Nobody here really is concerned about the safety of any Palin family member; it's just another People rag-type announcement.

LMAO at all the assumptions made in this post. I started the thread because the story has been in the news. The majority of the responses have been positive with concern for the young man. But I shoulnt have to tell you that since evidently you read minds, hearts and intentions too. You're quite talented.

I love the whole ‘no one should ever speak negatively of another human being’ group - who always feel free to speak extremely negatively about anyone whose posts they don’t appreciate, chastise them, tell them they’re disgusting, etc. And/but that’s NOT speaking negatively, that’s just the “moral truth.” Riiiiiight......

I don’t like the way you (figurative) trash people, but I can trash you (figurative) all I want to because Nice and Good and Kind are on my side - whereas you (figurative) s*ck.

Hilarious.

I don't know if he has PTSD or not or what the real facts are about the situation. But family dysfunction is extremely painful, no matter whose family it is.

I believe they did at one point have a reality show. And they've made themselves very public, there is a downside to that.

Sarah Palin's Alaska was quite popular for a single season on TLC.

@Pearlee, No, I wasn't there.  I'm sure no one thought I was there.

@Mmsfoxxie  Perhaps you would understand it if you had been there in the situation.  You weren't.

This story was in the newspapers in Alaska and has since gone around the world. It wasn't a rag magazines that broke the news. Alaska is a big state but not heavily populated and the Palin family is well known there so news gets around pretty fast. It is awful what has happened to them but I'm still puzzled about the reaction from many of the posters here who can't seem to like bad news coming from others that they admire.

There are no perfect people no matter what your beliefs are and holding this dysfunctional family on a pedestal because they claim the same values doesn't make any sense!

The father didn’t “pull” a gun. He met his son at the door with a gun.
