Hi Chickenbutt!
I wanted to get back to you about my choice of headphones for my husband.
After considering advice regarding 6 different "models," I chose the Sennheisers AND ended up getting the basic model $30 off. Please know that your description and overall review of your Sennheisers helped me make that decision.
When the headphones arrived, I immediately gave them to my husband, as his old ones had literally fallen apart, so it was a 2 week early birthday present. He LOVES his new headphones. Actually, after listening to one song by his favorite female artist he got tears in his eyes. Now, this is a man who rarely tears up, so I gotta tell you that I'm so glad you responded over on "Electronics."
I also let my SIL know what I had purchased, because he had made 2 recs. Unfortunately, his recs were primarily for gamers and folks who have to spend hours and hours on the phone during the day as Client Service reps, as he is. I learned all of this in the process. He got back to me and said, "Senns?! Wow!!!"
So, again, I must thank you for a terrific recommendation. I paid $99 for them and believe they will last and last. Oh, and boy, are these comfortable!

Oh, that's just great! I'm always happy if I can help anybody out but the awesome thing is that he loves them. I love how much he's enjoying the music (trying not to cry here!).
I've really done well with Sennheiser - earbuds, wireless headphones for tv, and wired headphones (super comfy!). The quality is always very good and the sound wonderful.
Thanks! ![]()

I really like having wireless headphones for tv. The only bummer about the ones I have is that the top part is kind of squared so if I walk around and bend over they will fall off.
Maybe somebody with a bigger head wouldn't have that problem, but I wish they were shaped more rounded, like my wired Sennheisers, so that they lay snug and comfortable. But they work great and have outstanding sound.
I have extreme tinnitus, so I have trouble hearing stuff on tv especially if there is more than one thing going on. I will miss a lot of stuff on shows that have music, sound, AND people talking. With the headphones I don't miss a beat.
Mine are the RS120 model, I believe. They have great range. My house is fairly large and I can walk all over the house, in the garage, or outside, and still have the sound. It's not that I walk around a lot while watching tv, but if I want to get something in the kitchen or go to the bathroom I can just keep them on and not miss anything.

Well, I have a large head that's even flat on top, so these might be made for me.
(When I was born, had bad football head. After 3 days, the docs told my mother that my head wasn't re-modeling enough to a more normal anatomical shaped head, so - get this - a doctor placed his hand on the top of my head and pressed down to flatten the football head I had at 3 days old. I do believe this speaks to the reason why I ended up developing epilepsy. Still canot believe this was done...)
Thanks so much for the model information. I'm definitely checking this out.

Ha! Maybe you're right. I'm not saying (at all!) that they are uncomfortable. They are definitely comfortable - just a little wide for my head when moving around a lot. If I'm just watching tv they are perfect because they are comfortable and quality.
These have rechargeable batteries and when you put them on the stand thingy they automatically recharge. I don't know how many hours you get on a charge, but I've used well over TEN hours on a charge with no indication that they were running out.
The stand (BTW, the model number I mentioned was correct. I looked to make sure) has a hole on the back where you can attach it to a wall or something. I happen to have a piece of brick wall (behind a wood stove that I don't use) that is near my living room tv. There was a bolt sticking out of it, so I just hung it there. *VOILA* No more unsightly bolt and it was the perfect place to put it out of the way so that nobody could knock it over.
If you have any kind of problems like I have, or other problems with hearing, or a partner who is bothered by the sound of the tv, GOOD quality wireless headphones are awesome. They are not on the same wavelength as my home network or wireless phones, so no interference.
Sorry for the novel.
I just love to share great products. ![]()

chickenbutt,
Hey, no problem. All of the information you've provided really helps me tremendously, especially since I'm so lacking in knowledge when it comes to head phone. This is going on my Christmas list and I am pushing big time for it.
Frankly, one of the reasons I would like them is that since retiring last year I watch more television and have learned that my husband curses up a blue streak every day, which puts me in a terrible mood. If I can put the head phones on and watch something on TV, maybe I won't have to listen to his cursing all the time. (He's usually in front of his computer or putzing around or out in the garage, but I can always hear that horrible language.)
Thanks so much, again!
