Paging blue weimaraner...

Hello... I saw your name on another thread and I didn't want to go OT but I wanted to ask you a question.

I'm assuming you own a weimaraner and I was wondering if this dog is a good breed with children. I have grandsons living with me (ages 6 and 9) and we were thinking of getting a larger dog.

My DH may be leaving our state for work for about a year and I would like to at least have a dog that appears to be protective. Our Basset Hound doesn't really do the job. lol
