Sorry about the "page," but I'd really appreciate your input and didn't know how to reach any of you, otherwise:
I'm wondering if either, or all of you, would weigh in on a question, or may have contact with a nearby veterinary college, that may also weigh in:
(It's going to cost us around three-hundred dollars for me to ask this question of any oncologist in the Wash., DC area.) Three hundred dollars.
Since Nicholas, who has lymphoma, has completed a full round of a variation of the Wisconsin protocol, and he has now come out of remission, why does the oncologist say that our only option for any other chemical intervention -- with the exception of prednisone -- is to repeat the entire round of chemo?
So far, with the addition of Milk Thistle, Missing Link, CAS Options, and Immune Support by Lil Critters (Immune C plus zinc & Echinacea) he is remaining very active.
I've been reading stories, posted by pet parents, about how they lengthened the lives of their canines with lymphoma. In those cases, the entire course of chemo was not used.
I don't like the idea of introducing any more toxins into his system, but I'm wondering if a very short -- intermittent -- course of chemo along with the newly introduced, additional immune support re: diet, herbs, suppliments might give him a better chance for a longer life. I know that this cannot be cured.
Thanks in advance.
Emy
