Hey Noel, I don't know if you saw, but I replied (late) to your Kale thread. I was talking about Orphan Black (sorry I had gone OT!). In my reply I also asked you about the movie "Never Let Me Go." I don't know if you remember me mentioning it to you awhile back, but I was curious if you ever got the chance to watch it. I thought it might be something you'd like. :-)

Bump for Noel...

Just saw a post from Noel so I'm sending this up hoping she sees it.

Thanks, all! I didn't see it.
I like celery. "Never Let Me Go" isn't ringing a bell with me. I thought I replied to you on the kale thread, but maybe not, I apologize
What's the movie about, basically? We're all caught up with Orphan Black this season, how about you?

Thanks, scotttie & Preds - you're good peeps! :-)

Oh, you did reply to my first post of me asking you if you were watching "Orphan Black," but then you asked me in return if I was a fan of the series, too. I didn't see your question until the next day, and then later replied to it. I'm sure I'm confusing you with this explanation! ha ha Anyway, I was watching the first season of "Orphan Black," but got behind, and started DVRing the episodes. I still haven't caught up, and have now been DVRing season 2 as well! Needless to say, I have many episodes to catch up on. It's a great series, and I had a feeling you'd be watching it. :-)
Now about "Never Let Me Go," in short, it's a science fiction movie about human cloning, and how children at a "special" boarding school, discover they were created for the purpose of being organ donors. When I asked you on the Kale thread about "Orphan Black" (another clone subject), it reminded me of the time I recommended "Never Let Me Go" to you. So I was just curious if you ever got the chance to watch it.
The movie is heart wrenching in a "good" way. It has a great cast: Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley, Andrew Garfield, Charlotte Rampling, and Sally Hawkins.
Here's the official movie trailer, if you're interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sXiRZhDEo8A
(eta: sorry about the formatting. I wrote it on my notepad because I didn't want to lose a long reply, but when I copied & pasted it here, the formatting got messed up.)

p.s. The movie is based on the book (same title) by Kazuo Ishiguro. I haven't read it (just saw the movie), but I've heard it's excellent.
I'm signing off for now. Have a nice night!
