Magenta, am I right that you are a translator? If that is the case, I wonder if you could tell me how one should approach this career? My niece is completely bilingual (English/French) and is considering this as a career choice. She has a natural ability with languages.
She is also very much involved in the arts ... acting, singing, dancing. etc. Without question, music is her passion. My concern about music as a career is the ability to generate a good income on a sustainable basis. (If anyone has any comment on that I'd love to hear it!)
Both she and her sister look to me for advice on careers. I would appreciate any comments about the work, the professional requirements, and about the job itself. Is it hard work, enjoyable, boring, etc. etc. What is the income potential and any other info you feel is appropriate. Many thanks in advance.
Comments from all appreciated.
