Just wondering how your chili turned out the other night. Hope you enjoyed it and your hubby as well.

I did post in the thread you started, but wasn't sure if you saw it. I'm going to look into getting that cookbook the poster lolakimono (sp?) suggested.

Hope you're doing well.

I Love chili! It doesn't love me but now and then Chili and Honey Corn Bread is something I really enjoy.

I make a butt-burning chili that I can't even take one spoonful of! It has 10 cloves of garlic in it....and 6 Tablespoons of chili powder in it.

I'm told it's awesome. And the ""reports"" later in the evening suggest it as well....

Hi HisElk, I was going to post to you tonight because I thought you might be at work.

WE LOVED IT. It came out really good. After I took a couple of bites I forgot I was eating a meat substitute. My husband whose favorite dinner is a huge steak at Ruth Chris's really liked it a lot. He is not the type to lie to spare my feelings, if he doesn't like something he tells me.

We are going to use this with tacos next time.

Thanks so much for the recommendation, it was a winner for sure.

Serranos are hotter than jalapenos. I think jalapenos are about 2,500 on scoville scale and serranos start at about 5,000. They are good.

Wowza. And I thought my chili was butt-burning. Yours sounds like it is downright butt-blasting!

My husband wants to put ghost peppers in it. I like hot food but ghost peppers are ridiculous. They start at 855,000 and go past a million on the scoville scale. They used to be the hottest pepper in the world but now I think they are 3rd or 4th. I have never tried one but he has and loves them.
