Paging Chickenbutt, Your Great Help With Charter Digital Change

Thank you so much for telling me the size of the cable box. I got great cheap monitor risers and cables to get this mess set up. Great pictures on my tvs today. Could not have chosen correct risers from Amazon ahead of the switch without your accurate measurements. I guess I did not sync the remotes quite right yet, but got crucial parts to work and have tv that's sort of what I already had, they mostly re-added the channels they took away in the past 3 yrs. Again, thanks for taking the time to measure and reassure me. Priceless help to me.

Re: Paging Chickenbutt, Your Great Help With Charter Digital Change

Hey Cabbi! Glad I could help. Isn't it nice that the new cable boxes are so much smaller? I don't even mind the ones I had to install in my kitchen or on my desk.

As for the sync of the remotes to the televisions, I asked them on the phone how to do that since there were no instructions and the person totally didn't know and everything she told me was wrong. So, the funny part was that I figured it out on my own and had to tell her how to do it! Ha!

If yours are the same, and it's probably pretty generic, here's what you do -

First, in that fold up paper that came with the remote, find the remote codes for your brand of tv. Be sure to look under the right category - there are several. e.g. if you have just a regular flat screen tv, be sure to look under 'flat screen tv'. I write the codes down on the front of the fold up paper thingy.

* Then, press 'tv' on the remote - the tv button will blink once.

* Press and hold the 'set up' button - until it blinks twice.

* Let go of that button and, right away, punch in the tv code for your brand.

It should be paired up. Press the power button and see if the tv turns off. If not, try the same thing with the next tv code on your list.

Hope that helps! Happy viewing.

We just got some new channels a week or two ago. Finally got Discovery Wild so I can watch Cesar Millan again. yay! Smiley Happy
