My kids were all very particular about which shape/size pacifier they preferred. Some didn't want one at all and poked it right out with their tongue. I would just wash in soapy water, rinse and air dry or use one of those baskets with a lid, made for the upper tier of the dishwasher, along with the bottle rings and caps.

son would never take a pacifier - guess he realized early on that no ""good stuff"" came out of it - LOL!!

My 5 month old grandson has many,but there is one attached to a stuffed toy, I think the toy acts as a kind of security blanket for them, my daughter is very much in favor of it.
