It’s not an address added to your personal addresses (account settings).

It’s an option on check out for a local pick up location in your area. Yes, it’s something added by Amazon.

@bikerbabe , that's where mine was located, in my account and then "your addresses".

I checked mine and they have added a whole foods in a neighboring city.  DD had two added to hers both by my house and she lives on the other end of the state.  I assumed it was an amazon thing giving you an option in case you want to have it delivered to a locker rather than your home.

@Wsmom @I just checked and one of these was added to my addresses. It said it could be removed, but when I pressed yes to remove it, it does not remove. I sure hope it was added by Amazon. There's no phone number listed to call anymore and verify it's legitimately Amazon that's adding this.

@Mindy D , I went into my account and and then "your addresses".  Is that what you did?  I was able to remove mine.  🤔

@Wsmom @Yes! That's what I did. Maybe I couldn't remove it because I had put my address as a default address. Do you have a default address selected on the page? Maybe I'm misunderstanding their directions for Yes and No. I tried selecting YES twice.

Re: PSA: Possible Amazon Address Hack

I agree this is not new. I used an Amazon locker a couple of time this past summer at a grocery store near us when our new driveway was still wet and we couldn't drive on it.  Worked out well.  Just checked my account and it is still listed in there in case I want to use it again.

@Sage04

When I receive an email, I go to the Amazon lockers in Ross' , stand in front of lockers and press "start pickup".

Locker opens.

@Mindy D , yes.  My address is default and then I have three others listed and then the Whole Foods that was added.   I clicked on "remove" and then got the "confirm removal" and clicked yes and it was removed.

@Wsmom I hope they make people picking up at a Whole Foods show ID when picking up. Thanks for your help.

As a matter of fact, they even ask for ID when you're returning something to Whole Foods

Re: PSA: Possible Amazon Address Hack

The Amazon locker has several locked containers, You key in your code, and your specific box that has your item in it will pop open. I use the locker whenever I do not want something left on my porch.

There is no showing of I.D. At least not at the locker that I use from time to time that is located in a Rite Aid store.

@icezeus  what you say make sense. Maybe they are talking about when they return something to Amazon?

@Tori3569  mentioned when returning.
