Im pretty sure Isaac only does 

the Project Runway All Stars shows.

I fear we will hear Merline's singing and yammering for a long time.

How ironic the first garment Tim critiqued was Duncan's and he liked it.  Tim's opinions and the judges are often opposites.

I thought some of the safe garments were worse than some in the bottom  I cannot believe nothing was said about this. The left rising breast and the right upper thigh when she walked were almost obscene.

You are so right IMO.  That dress could have been wearable IMO if the designer gave it more thought.  As for Merline, I am so ready for her to go home.  She's way to chatty and I'm sure it makes it difficult for all the designers to concentrate.  Should be another interesting season.

I felt bad for the guy who went home first last night; your theory is correct in that Tim loved it, yet he's gone.  IMO, the chinese girl should have gone home.  That thing was awful IMO.

ITA with all your comments @lulu2 and @HisElk but I 

did like the winning look.  I watched the show a 

second time and Tim did say the pink draped 

garment was appealing but needed a lot more work 

and the designer didn't really do anything else to it.  Tim's 

opinions don't always match the judges but in this 

case the designer should've listened to him.

Looks to be a good season.😊

There were a lot of horrendous frocks in the 1st episode.   Really, really awful...but, what do I know??  No matter, I'll still watch every last episode.

I am loving the new designers so far. It looks like it will be a good season! Tim Gunn rocks too! (I am not a fashionista..lol). Oh I love the finished outfits don't get me wrong, but I watch more for the "art" of it. I love the challenges and to see how they make clothing out of the weirdest things!

For a challenge where the designer was suppose to make anything he or she wanted to make to represent their fashion style, there were some pretty boring garments.  The short sundress looked like something you could buy at Old Navy for $10.  The lavender skirt and cropped top was anything but special.  At least some participants took some risks.

I hope Merline doesn't wear a hat the entire series.  I cannot believe no one told her to be quiet. 

How does a fashion designer show up for a competition without a sewing kit?

I am sick of Tim Gunn's oversized navy pinstripe suit.
