Just got a call from Lauren at Petguard, who spoke to Emily (the nutritionist). She told me that there is absolutely NOTHING in Petguard that is sourced outside of the United States. To show you how on the ball and concerned they are...the day that Cookie regurgitated, I had noticed that the food (in the can) had a slightly different appearance. I got the can out of the trash and read her the lot number, and she said that she had had one other woman call in about it. She called the store where I buy my petfood (it's a healthfood store) to tell them to pull those lots and also to exchange my cans for another lot, of which I already have some and it looks fine.) THAT is the mark of a company that is truly concerned about its customers. (and their companion animals) Petguard is also recommended by Anitra Frazier, author of "The Natural Cat", and that means a lot to me. That is how I first found out about Petguard petfood, from Ms. Frazier's book.
