I loved Patty Duke, esp. as a teen just a few years younger than she was.

Such an accomplished actress at such a young age.

Great person, and accomplished actress.

May she rest in peace, and will be sorely missed.

I admired her and her willingness to go public with her bipolar disorder. That took a great deal of courage. I always thought she was a very likable person--as well as a talented actor.

I am shocked.  It is weird, but last night I was thinking about her and now this.

I met her when she was shopping at the Macy's where I work. She was gracious and kind. A true legend....they don't make them like her anymore. RIP.

This makes me so sad. I just loved and admired her. We've certainly lost many of our actors and singers of a certain age group lately Smiley Sad

"...But Patty's only seen the sights a girl can see from Brooklyn Heights..." - LOVED "The Patty Duke Show".

And her stunning performances and work with "The Miracle Worker" story - outstanding.

Rest in Peace.

A very sad loss. She was a great actress, gone too soon.
