@lynnie61Re: Any good casino visits lately? We don't go often, but love a good day at the casino. An acquaintance I know, just won a car at a local casino earlier this year. They were thrilled of course!
I was at Harrah's (my 2nd home) Easter holidays. Had a wonderful time as usual.
I broke even. Paramour came home a winner.
Concrats to your friends. Did they keep the car or sell it to pay the taxes on the car?

@Mz iMac They kept it. I thought they would take the cash. When we go, breaking even IS winning. My hairdresser, her husband won $11,000 once. Many years ago, I won a $5,000 jackpot. Nothing big lately. Glad you enjoyed your Easter there! It's an enjoyable time.

Something I've always wondered does the IRS have people standing around watching for winners or are they just interested in big winnings ?

@SharkE In New Jersey, currently if you win $1500.00+ jackpot, PRIOR to giving you your winnings (check or cash) a casino host will hand you a TAX form to complete which you get a copy right then & there. The casino host will them go to the cashier to get your cash or check.
Start taking pictures before the host comes back. It's against the law in N.J. to take pictures & videos INSIDE a casino. The eyes in the sky & near the slots will turn a blinds eye involving
jackpot winners.
N.J. Casinos use the honor system in that YOU will report your casino winnings. Because if you do not, the Treasury Dept & the State Police will be banging on your door between 3:00am=6:00a.m. Casinos will turn in their portion of the tax paperwork.
Casinos in New Jersey are run by the Casino Control Commission a/k/a CCC & they do not play!
Casino tax laws I believe are different in States that allow gambling. Casinos on Indian lands are a whole different story!

Years ago, our friends were on a bus trip that stopped at a casino for a brief break. They were special people. He was the senior veterinary technician and like a second father to DH. His wife was amazing and so welcoming.
He watched his wife go into the ladies' room and decided to put a few coins in one of the machines. When she came out from the ladies' room she said there was a lot of clapping and excitement. Someone said the man over there just won over a million dollars. She said to the stranger next to her, "That's my husband!"
We, and the rest of their friends, were so happy for them!
He retired shortly after. They bought their two adult daughters a restaurant on the boardwalk to run.
Sadly he passed away from pancreatic cancer a few years after he was an usher in our wedding.

Awwwww how horrible and sad.
I won't be gambling, but, watch all the DVD's about
the set up. Just wondered about the real story behind the scenes.
Thanks for all the replies !

Love that show ! I like 'gangster' movies ROFLMAO
Remember when Leo DeCaprio got his hand smashed
with a hammer for cheating ? I love little Joe Pesci
think he's retired now.
I had no sympathy for Sharon Stone. She was a junky ho. If a man adored me like De Niro did her and showered me with jewels I'd appreciate him.
