Speculation?

Theories?

None of it based on facts.

News reporting is, or should be, fact based, don't you think?

It should be but we as human beings we still want to know what happened to the passengers and crew.

But speculating isn't doing that.

Re: Overkill coverage of plane

I want to know what happened too, but not enough to listen to hours of endless speculation. I almost think it's cruel to put the families through the ups and downs of hope followed by disappointment, over and over and over again.

It's more like pursuing a lead or any prospects....how else do you solve a case? If that's called speculating...fine.

There are many places they could be...why not try and follow a lead?

I trust those pursuing leads, but not a media outlet that reduced itself at one point to speculating about black holes.

I think it IS cruel.

I also think it's wrong to keep putting their anguished faces on the air. That isn't going to help anyone find their loved ones. It's just exploitation for ratings.

If I were one of the family members involved in waiting for news, I don't think I could go through that. It would be like a jackhammer hitting me in spurts.

I couldn't either. Don't get me wrong, I would most definitely want them to keep looking for as long as feasible, but as for the media coverage, I would have turned it off days ago.

Re: Overkill coverage of plane

What actual ""leads"" have they followed?

Two regarding ""objects"" seen floating in the ocean?

Wonder whom the pilot was calling before the flight?

I don't watch it 24/7. How a network runs their business is not my concern. They must feel it's worth doing...to pursue every avenue to get some answers.

It is a vast area that needs searching and many different clues come up...and many not credible. But for the sake of the families I would like to know that they haven't given up.

Is this a bash CNN thread in disguise? Just curios.
