We usually don't hear the Stealth Bombers. They seem to glide high and rather quietly above our community. If I'm on the patio, I might notice the large black object above during the daylight hours. At night I'm prone to hear them with the quieter city traffic.

Imagine the education and training to fly one of those!!

@BirkiLady

The two pilots flying today are both graduates from the USAF Academy.

@SilleeMee post on today's US Air Force Academy graduation reminded me that YES! I did see a stealth bomber fly over at the 2008 MLB All Star Game at Yankee Stadium.  High in the sky and brief sighting.  Exciting nonetheless!  I kept thinking yesterday, didn't I see one...  I did!  Just not as clearly as the photo!

@SilleeMee

When I worked in the Engineering Dept. of a Defense Division for a Fortune 500 Company, many men had gone to school at the US Air Force Academy and spent a good part of their lives in the AF, usually in or around planes or space plans. Brilliant minds and fascinating lives.

@SilleeMee - Thanks for another great picture!

I remember the first time I saw one of these. We were looking for it, and all of the sudden it was right there! It was something!  Smiley Happy
